America Recycles Day
Recycling is the easiest thing we can all do to improve our community, conserve natural resources, and create green jobs.
November 15 is America Recycles Day, the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting recycling in the United States. Together we can make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year.
Give your “garbage” another life. When you recycle:
- Your plastic shampoo or water bottle could become a park bench
- Your cereal box could become a game board
- Your food can could become a bike
Support recycling in Boston Schools by taking the BPS Recycling Pledge. Every school received pledge cards that also have some good education about what can and can’t be recycled in Boston. , Schools should encourage students to complete the pledges and then someone should report the # of pledges collected by November 1st. Schools that collect the most pledges will be awarded with some fun recycling prizes.
Together, we can reduce material going to landfills and by recycling, give our “garbage” another life.
